Summary of the position 

The Supply Chain Director oversees and manages the organization’s overall supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role involves strategic planning and coordinating procurement, inventory management, transportation, and distribution processes. The position is essential in ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services, optimizing costs, and maintaining quality standards aligned with organizational goals.

Job Purpose:

The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and managing the company’s end-to-end supply chain operations, which include sourcing, procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and fleet operations. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and services, thereby supporting the company’s overall operational and strategic goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Leads the overall supply chain strategy and operations for the company.
• Define and implement Sourcing and supply chain strategy.
• Define supply chain operational strategy, planning, and implementation.
• Oversees the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. (procurement, importing, warehousing, good shipment, and stock of the company)
• Support other operational departments by providing goods and services at the right time, quality, quantity, and price.
• Define procurement and logistics policies and rules for all purchases, warehousing, and fleet management.
• In charge of facilities and fleet management of the company
• Optimize the warehouse management, good shipment, and inventory management.
• Manages inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock to meet demand while minimizing storage costs. 
• Oversees the movement and storage of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. 
• Works to streamline and optimize supply chain processes, reducing costs and improving efficiency. 
• Predicts demand and supply to ensure adequate inventory and prevent shortages. 
• Analyzes and optimizes transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and delivery times.
• Oversee all aspects of a company's vehicle fleet, ensuring it operates efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
• Managing vehicle maintenance, fuel, and regulatory compliance.  
• Identifies and resolves issues that may arise in the supply chain.

Educational Qualification 

• BA/MA in Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management & related social science field of studies
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
