We are now hiring a dynamic and committed Deputy Principal to support the School Principal in delivering our mission and leading our academic team with excellence.
Position Details
- Job Title: Deputy Principal
- Location: Assosa, Ethiopia
- Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Reports To: School Principal
- Supervises: Assigned teaching and support staff
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Principal in overall school administration and daily operations
- Lead academic planning, including lesson supervision, assessment practices, and instructional improvement
- Manage student discipline, attendance, and well-being programs
- Coordinate extracurricular and student enrichment programs
- Act on behalf of the Principal when necessary
- Support professional development and coaching of teachers
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 6 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years in an academic leadership role
- Strong understanding of modern teaching practices and school leadership
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Fluent in English; Amharic proficiency is an asset
- Confident with digital tools and school information systems
