Job Summary:

The Sales Accountant is responsible for monitoring and recording all sales transactions, ensuring accuracy in revenue reporting, managing accounts receivable, and reconciling customer accounts. This role bridges the finance and sales departments to ensure timely invoicing, collection, and reporting of sales data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile sales transactions in the accounting system.
• Generate and issue accurate sales invoices in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure proper documentation of sales contracts and agreements.
• Reconcile sales reports with financial statements monthly.
• Analyze sales trends and prepare periodic sales reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Handle sales-related audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting of sales revenue.
• Maintain accurate customer records and account information.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience 2+ years in an accounting role, preferably in sales or revenue accounting.
