Prepare, maintain and oversee financial and accounting operations while maintaining legal compliance through financial reports periodically for decision-making and assessing business performance.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To efficiently and effectively monitor accounting operations of the company on a daily basis to achieve the Company’s vision, mission and value.
- Ensuring day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash collection and accounts receivable, and payroll are recorded properly.
- Performing timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., net assets, investments, revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, etc.), ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
- Ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare accurate and detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
- Periodical reporting of accounting matters as necessary to make a good accounting decision.
- Producing statutory financial reporting with sufficient and appropriate disclosures on a regular basis.
- Team up in developing business plans based on financial information captured within the relevant accounting period.
- Provide past transaction costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans and/or past trend.
- Critically keeping the financial and tax documents together with their related summary of information as a supporting document of transactions occurred periodically.
- Liaising with other line managers within finance and other department to exchange accounting and tax information on a regular basis to meet the Company’s objective.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company accounting record is maintained.
- Making complete and accurate accounting adjustments in to the system
- Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues
- Supervising subordinate staffs on their operational and administrative effectiveness and compliance.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures.
- To perform other duties when assigned by Financial Controller and CFO as necessary as possible to meet the Company’s objective.
- Ensuring all finance and accounting operations comply with IFRS.
Education:
- BA/MSc in Accounting and Finance field of study from a recognized and reputable institution.
- ACCA & Certifications in the area are a plus in addition to the existing requirement.
Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Senior Finance role out of which a minimum of 2 years’ experience on a managerial role and manufacturing company.

- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Competencies /Knowledge, Ability and Skill
- A good working knowledge of ERP software skills.
- Working knowledge of tax & statutory legislation and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
