Job Overview:

We Meseret Manufacturing PLC are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven professional to fill the role of Assistant General Manager / Finance Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of key departments and ensuring strong financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Production, Sales, and Finance departments.
  • Oversee payroll payments and government withholdings below 50,000 birrs, including monthly income tax and pension filings.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on behalf of the company, including financial statements and operational summaries.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports twice a month and quarterly, including financial statements and progress updates on company performance.
  • Report directly to the Board of Directors on company status, challenges, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate and follow up on external audits and ensure proper financial documentation and compliance.
  • Conduct physical inspections and monitoring of sales offices and fabrication facilities.
  • Provide direct guidance and direction to employees in all departments including sales, production, administration, and support staff.
  • Ensure all departments are aligned with company goals and contribute effectively to performance and growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior management roles, preferably within industrial or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of Ethiopian financial regulations, tax obligations, and audit procedures.
  • Proven track record of team coordination and departmental oversight.
