Position Summary:

CCECC is looking for a Structural Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in structural design and working drawings. The candidate should have strong knowledge of engineering principles, building design standards, and relevant codes. Responsibilities include structural analysis, technical drawing preparation, and coordination with project teams to ensure quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design of building components using appropriate engineering software and methods.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, working drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and construction teams during design development and implementation.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate structural integrity, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in design review meetings and support the preparation of reports and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of bills of quantities and cost estimates related to structural works.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in structural design and working drawings for buildings.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Solid understanding of structural design principles, construction methods, and relevant standards (e.g. BS, Eurocodes, or Ethiopian Building Code).
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings accurately.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Registration with the Ethiopian Engineering Qualification Board or equivalent is an added advantage.
