1. Makes sure that all vehicles received for repair and servicing have work order;

2. Ensures that the tools and materials required for repair purposes are available;

3. Determines and requests spare parts and other materials for repair and maintenance service;

4. Initiates requisition for external technical service purchase and ensures conformity of the service;

5. Services, maintains, adjusts, or repairs vehicles and components as per the work order utilizing the necessary tools, equipment, and facilities, in a safe, efficient and economical manner within the standard time defined by the company;

6. Performs a task that requires high skill and implements technical service data to ensure all repairs are performed per standard;

7. Performs component overhauls, such as, engine, gear box, deferential, carburet or, steering box, pump etc.;

8. Carries out repair works which are beyond the capability of the subordinates;

9. Ensures that all repair works are performed timely and meet the required standard;

10. Fills the required service data in the job slip;

11. Carries out field repairs as per instructions given by immediate supervisor;

12. Takes good care of tools and assigned equipment and learns the safe operation of standard testing devices to detect and correct mechanical malfunctions;

13. Inspects and ensures that the quality of work performed by subordinates meets the required standard;

14.  Performs other related tasks as required.

From recognized college/TVET level V diploma in Auto-Mechanics/Automotive Technology, relevant technical training and 2 years related work experience

Or

From recognized college/TVET level IV /10+3/ diploma in Auto-Mechanics/Automotive Technology and 4 years related work experience
