Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following position

• REPORT TO Coordinator, Finance and Budget
• DURATION One year contract with possibility of extension
• SALARY RANGE Gross monthly salary of ETB 9,667 - ETB 10,806 plus ETB 4,320 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates’ qualification, experience and earning history

Purpose of the Job:

• To support in organizing and analyzing financial documents and accounts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded.
• Support in tracking and monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Support in preparation of reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
• Assist in analysis and reconciliation of bank statements and general ledgers.
• Prepare and file local compliance reporting, as necessary.
• Assist in reviewing expenses received.
• Act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile and by billing discrepancies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BA degree in Accounting and Finance
• Diploma/Level IV Certificate in Accounting and Finance
• 2 years of experience with BA
• 4 years of relevant experience with Diploma/Level IV
• Knowledge of IFMIS is a plus
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge of Amharic is required.
• Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous
