Purpose of the Job:
To support the planning, supervision, and execution of post-tensioning works on site, ensuring adherence to project timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements, while maintaining accurate documentation and coordinating effectively with project stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Material Management – Request required materials; coordinate fabrication scheduling; follow up on delivery confirmations; manage on-site material storage.
- Documentation Handling – Deliver working drawings and fabrication sheets on time; ensure equipment and documentation readiness.
- Initial Site Inspection – Conduct inspections of general arrangement drawings, site workspace, bottom mesh, and PT designs to verify readiness.
- Safety Assurance – Oversee safe use of post-tensioning tools and equipment; control safety tool distribution; ensure adherence to safety protocols; respond to safety breaches or incidents.
- Component Inspection – Perform final inspections of PT and reinforced concrete components; verify back propping and submit inspection reports to the client.
- Concrete Casting Supervision – Monitor casting operations; confirm schedule; verify joint placements and compaction; assign technicians; report progress.
- Stressing Operations Oversight – Supervise all stressing-related activities including preparation, calibration, force application, data recording, restressing, and dish uttering.
- Grouting Supervision – Oversee grouting activities including preparation, execution, inspection, and documentation.
- Problem Solving – Resolve technical and coordination issues related to post-tensioning activities.
- Stakeholder Coordination – Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment and smooth workflow.
- Team Support & Management – Assist in distributing tasks, managing time sheets, assigning overtime, and resolving team conflicts.
- Planning and Scheduling – Plan and prioritize work activities to meet project deadlines.
- Asset & Property Management – Oversee company equipment use and inventory; ensure proper maintenance and representation of company property.
- Logistics Coordination – Manage site logistics including machinery movement and storage management.
- Reporting – Prepare and submit weekly progress reports, stressing and grouting sheets, and inspection records.
Qualification and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in post-tensioning or structural site engineering, preferably on large infrastructure or high-rise projects.
Expertise:
- Proficiency in interpreting structural drawings and PT layouts.
- Basic knowledge of post-tensioning systems, stressing equipment, and construction safety practices.
- Familiarity with construction reporting tools and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong organizational, communication, and team coordination skills.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of construction methodologies and post-tensioning techniques.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards in the construction industry.
- Awareness of client-facing protocols and project delivery procedures.
- Basic understanding of inventory and asset management practices.
