Position Title : HR Business Partner 

Department/Program: HR & Admin

Required Number of positions -one 

Reports to:  HR & Admin Lead

Based in: Head office / Addis Ababa

Duration of contract: Indefinite based on performance and availability of funds.

Remuneration: As per the organization pay scale plus other PSI/Ethiopia staff benefits

We are looking fora highly skilled and motivated HR Business Partner (HRBP) who  will play a crucial role in implementing HR strategy by developing an actionable plan that align with PSI Ethiopia’s business objectives. The HRBP is responsible for delivering high-quality HR services, driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and compliance with HR policies and labor regulations. The role also involves supporting the implementation of HR strategies that contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.

Key responsibilities

Recruitment and Selection

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Support hiring managers in designing job descriptions and conducting job evaluations aligned with organizational structure.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle to ensure timely hiring in line with staffing plans.
  • Ensure employment offers and contracts are accurate and issued within defined timelines.
  • Promote diversity and gender equity in all hiring processes.
  • Work closely with all HR related matters with Lead, HR & Admin to ensure the HR strategy for the organization is met.

Performance Management

  •  Drive and manage the development and implementation of the performance management policies and procedures
  • Provides advice and assistance to managers to ensure that high performance is

    recognized and poor performance timely addressed

  • Review and improve existing performance management systems
  • Seeks appropriate advice on performance management issues as and when required
  • Provide reports on performance trends and propose enhancements to existing processes Design a performance development plan based on the gaps that is identified through the performance management process.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through proactive employee engagement.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues and implementing corrective actions where needed.

Networking

  • Use internal and external networks to locate and reach out ideal candidates and best HR

practices for organizational learning.

  • Work together with other HR team to establish a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation

for the organization, both internally and externally.

  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.

Reporting and communication

  • Prepare comprehensive bimonthly and quarterly report on key result areas in relation to the post.
  • Assist the Lead, HR and Admin in the preparation of the quarterly and annual HR report.
  • Prepare reports of field visits conducted if any.

Provide Support on New Initiatives and Strategic engagement

  • Support the HR and Admin Lead in identifying and recommending new HR initiatives to enhance HR practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with PSI/E's overall business objectives.

Others

  • Assist in the development and updating of HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned
  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Management or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience 

                                                 OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Management or related fields with eight (8) years of demonstrated experience 
  • Proficient in MS office applications and tools 
  • Proficient in English and Amharic languages, both written and verbal communication
