Role Overview:

Lovegrass Agro-Processing Plc is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Plant Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our factory located in Sululta. The Plant Manager will ensure efficient production, quality compliance, workplace safety, and workforce productivity while upholding the company’s standards and values.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all factory operations including production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and safety.

• Planning and coordinating production schedules, machinery, processing, and packaging.

• Ensuring quality standards are met and products are delivered on time.

• Ensure efficient production planning and execution to meet demand while optimizing costs and resources.

• Managing costs and ensuring operations stay within budget.

• Assess productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement opportunities.

• Monitor KPIs and provide regular performance reports to top management and drive compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Oversee training, performance, and motivation of factory staff to ensure high morale and output.

• Coordinate with senior management for reporting, planning, and strategy execution.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g. pollution control, safety norms, factory regulations).

• Represent the company in dealings with government bodies, partners, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.

• Manage inventory levels, liaise with other departments for smooth production flow.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Duty Station: Factory at Sululta Town

Remuneration and Compensation: Negotiable based on Qualification

Professional Qualifications:

• A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Science & Post-Harvesting Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field. Master’s Degree in relevant discipline is not mandatory but it is a plus.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in a food or agro-processing plant environment with a minimum of 7 (Seven) years in a Managerial or Leadership role overseeing full plant operations.

• Proven track record in production management, cost optimization, and team leadership.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.

• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).

• Ability to manage and improve operational efficiency, resource utilization, and workforce discipline.

• Proficient in data-driven decision-making and industrial performance metrics.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and production planning tools.
