Role Overview:

Lovegrass Agro-Processing Plc is seeking a highly organized and results-oriented Import and Export Supervisor to manage and support end-to-end coordination of all import and export operations. The role requires ensuring smooth cross-border logistics, project tracking, supplier/customer liaison, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of materials and finished goods. This position is integral to enhancing the company’s supply chain efficiency, supporting strategic projects, and facilitating international trade operations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare important documents for export and import, review, process, and properly documented.

• Support and facilitate processes with the clearing agent in all matters, collecting documents from suppliers, reviewing documents, and providing the appropriate body.

• Apply for any kind of import and export permits on ESW (Ethiopia single window), providing information needed, and make sure approval is done on time.

• Track and follow up on shipments and deliveries.

• Liaison transportation of imported and exported containers and facilitate its delivery to its destination, collect appropriate documents, coordinate with finance for payment and invoicing.

• Follow and monitor changes in export and import policies, rules and regulations, trade laws in the country and international stages and discuss with the immediate supervisor and ensure ongoing compliance.

• Track progress of strategic and import and export initiatives, flagging delays and risks.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders such as; suppliers and service providers.

• Any other task assigned by the line manager

Duty Station: Head Office at Addis Ababa

Remuneration and Compensation: Negotiable based on Qualification

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and above in Business Administration, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.

• Minimum of 2 (three) years of proven experience in export and import process, or supply chain/logistics roles, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong project coordination and time management skills.

• Excellent organizational, reporting, and follow-up abilities.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Familiar and able to use ESW (Ethiopia Single Window).

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• ERP experience with analytical mindset with attention to detail.

• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
