Position Summary:

CCECC Design Office is seeking a qualified and creative Landscape Architect to join our multidisciplinary design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative and sustainable landscape designs for infrastructure, urban, and building projects. The Landscape Architect will collaborate with architects, engineers, and urban planners to enhance outdoor environments, ensure functionality, and meet both aesthetic and environmental goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed landscape architectural designs, layout plans, sections, and visual presentations for infrastructure and building projects.
• Conduct site analysis and assessments including topography, vegetation, climate, drainage, and cultural context.
• Develop planting plans and select appropriate plant species and materials suited to the site and environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with in-house architects, civil engineers, structural teams, and other technical disciplines to integrate landscape elements into overall project designs.
• Create conceptual design proposals, 3D visualizations, and technical drawings using software tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, ARCHICAD, SketchUp, Lumion, 5D, Photoshop, Illustrator, and GIS.
• Participate in design review meetings and incorporate feedback into revised proposals.
• Prepare cost estimates, material specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure all designs meet local environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise landscape works during construction phases and provide technical support to site teams.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants on landscape-related deliverables.
• Contribute to innovation and quality improvement within the design office.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture with a specialization in landscape design.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a landscape design or architectural office; experience with large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, ARCHICAD, SketchUp, Lumion,5D Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Revit or BIM is an advantage.
• Strong design and visualization skills.
• Solid understanding of planting design, pavement plans, grading, drainage, lighting plan and irrigation systems etc. 
• Good communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Ethiopian environmental and construction standards is a plus.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Chinese or Amharic is advantageous.
