The Junior Bid Officer provides administrative and operational support to the bid team. This role involves assisting in the preparation of proposals, maintaining bid documentation, and ensuring smooth coordination between teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and tender responses.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and inputs.
Write, edit, and format proposal content to ensure compliance with client requirements.
Maintain and update the bid library with standard responses, case studies, and templates
Conduct research on clients, competitors, and industry trends.
Support the Senior Bid Officer in developing bid strategies and timelines.
Ensure all bids are submitted on time and meet quality standards.
Participate in post-bid reviews and contribute to process improvements.
Maintain accurate records of all bid submissions, outcomes, and feedback for future reference.
Stay updated on industry standards, bidding trends, and emerging technologies to enhance proposal quality.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing & other business related field of study
Experience: : 0-2 years of experience in bid management, proposal writing, or a similar role, preferably in the IT industry
Strong communication and negotiation skills and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated goal- oriented and result driven
Basic understanding of bid management tools.
Good in Microsoft Office; word ,excel ,PowerPoint
Fluency in Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is a plus. A working knowledge of English is preferred
