Purpose of the Job:

To establish and lead the quality assurance and control framework across the company’s key departments, ensuring all products and processes meet industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes compliance, defect reduction, continuous improvement, and team development to drive excellence in quality performance.

Department: Engineering Technology

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation

• Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive QMS across all relevant departments.
• Ensure alignment of QA/QC practices with client specifications, industry standards, and company objectives.

Inspection and Testing

• Oversee material, component, and product inspections throughout production stages.
• Approve final product quality before dispatch and site delivery.
• Identify non-conformities and enforce corrective measures through systematic audits.

Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, corrective actions, and audits.
• Ensure compliance with local/international standards and legal codes.
• Provide periodic quality reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

• Lead quality enhancement initiatives and root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with operations and site teams to implement feedback-driven process improvements.
• Monitor trends in quality metrics to identify focus areas for proactive change.

Team Leadership

• Manage and develop the QA/QC team, conducting regular training and performance reviews.

• Promote a strong culture of quality across production and support teams.

• Set quality objectives and hold team members accountable for performance standards.

Qualification and Experience: 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field.

• Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is preferred.

Experience: 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a QA/QC role, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity.

• Experience across construction, precast, or manufacturing industries is a strong advantage.

Expertise: 

• Strong knowledge of quality systems and implementation best practices.

• Proficiency in audit techniques, root cause analysis, and defect prevention.

• Excellent documentation and reporting capabilities.

Knowledge: 

• In-depth understanding of quality standards (ISO, ASTM, BS, etc.).

• Familiar with regulatory and statutory requirements relevant to construction and manufacturing.

• Skilled in statistical quality tools and performance analysis.
