1. Background

The MobilitE vertical under Sino – PAG focuses on EV sales, distribution, and financing, leveraging Digaf’s microfinance solutions to drive adoption of electric vehicles in East Africa. The vertical is recovering from delivery delays on preordered vehicles and requires strong leadership to stabilize operations, rebuild market trust, and accelerate growth.

A permanent MobilitE Vertical Manager is critical to:
  •  Lead sales, marketing, customer service, and after-sales processes.
  •  Build strategic partnerships with OEMs, dealers, and financing partners.
  •  Drive the expansion of products (EV cars, bikes, scooters).
  •  Ensure operational efficiency and financial performance.

2. Objectives of the Assignment

Mahlet is tasked to identify, evaluate, and recommend candidates for the role of MobilitE Vertical Manager who will:
  1.  Lead and grow the vertical to achieve sales and delivery targets (100 vehicles per month by Q1 2026).
  2.  Reinforce customer satisfaction through effective after-sales and warranty support.
  3.  Expand product lines (EV bikes and scooters by Q1 2026).
  4.  Collaborate closely with Digaf for EV financing solutions.
  5.  Align the vertical with Sino – PAG’s corporate strategy, under the oversight of the Deputy CEO.

3. Key Responsibilities for the Role

The MobilitE Vertical Manager will:
  •  Manage sales operations, marketing, and distribution strategies.
  •  Coordinate with Eyuel on international logistics and procurement.
  •  Lead and motivate the MobilitE sales team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  •  Work closely with After-Sales (led by Nigus) to ensure warranty support becomes a revenue-generating service by end of October 2025.
  •  Develop partnerships for EV expansion (e.g., electric bikes/scooters).
  •  Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports (sales, revenue, and pipeline).
  •  Implement structured sales funnels and CRM systems.
 

4. Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:
  •  5+ years of experience in automotive/EV sales or related industries.
  •  Proven leadership in vertical or business unit management.
  •  Strong sales strategy and execution skills.
  •  Background in EV mobility, automotive distribution, or renewable energy solutions.
  •  Commercial acumen and ability to work with financing products.
  •  Excellent communication, negotiation, and team-building skills.
  •  Hands-on operational approach with a growth-oriented mindset.
