Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting / Auditing

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Assist with month-end VAT & Withholding payments and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and prepare journal entries.
• Manage cash register machine, print out daily receipts, and prepare Z Reports.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Maraki2ERP, Excel).
• Identify any discrepancies and communicate findings to management.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
• Keep up to date and inform the team of any new related policies, or tax rules.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
• Proven experience (2+ years) in financial accounting and/or auditing for importers or exporters
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Maraki2ERP, Excel)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in English & Amharic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and financial risk assessment.
