The senior Accountant will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions and reporting.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.

• Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of accounts and tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for according to GAAP.

• Review construction contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment and adherence to project budgets.

• Collaborate with project managers to analyse financial performance and provide financial insights to support decision-making.

• Assist in the preparation of audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with a significant portion spent in the construction industry.

• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
