Job Title: Event Manager

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Summary

To plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events that reflect the organization’s vision and deliver memorable experiences. This role includes overseeing all aspects of event production—from concept development and vendor coordination to budget management and on-site execution. A key component of the role involves layout designing, where the Event Manager creates detailed spatial plans for venues to optimize flow, aesthetics, and functionality. By combining creative vision with logistical precision, the Event Manager ensures every event is impactful, well-organized, and aligned with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Execution
  • Lead the full lifecycle of event planning, including concept development, scheduling,and
  • Organize venue bookings, production timelines, run-of-show documents, and compliance checklists
  • Ensure seamless delivery of events aligned with brand, operational, and client expectations

Booth & Space Logistics

  • Oversee the rental, setup, and design layout of booths and event structures.

Client Engagement & Customization

  • Liaise directly with clients to gather requirements and ensure tailored service delivery
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to prepare customized quotes and sponsorship packages
  • Contribute to cost estimation and package development aligned with booth and rental pricing

Vendor & Team Coordination

  • Coordinatewith cross-functional teams including sales,marketing, design, and operations
  • Liaise with venue personneland third-party service providers (e.g. AV,décor, hospitality)
  • Maintain clear and timely communication across all planning and execution phases

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Track event performance using KPIs such as revenue, satisfaction scores, and lead generation.
  • Produce post-event evaluations, ROIreports, and inventory usage summaries.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, and logistics plans to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality
  • 3+ years of experience managing corporate events or exhibitions
  • Familiarity with booth design,layout planning, and rental operations
  • Proficiency in event software (e.g., Cvent, Excel) and basic design tools
  • Experience supervising teams and contractors in dynamic environments

  • Deep understanding of venue logistics, floor space optimization, and booth material management

Worfiing Environment:

  • Office setting with frequent travel to event venues, warehouses, and client locations
  • High-energy environment withexposure to crowds, live show activity, and setup operations
  • Availability required for evening and weekend events

Physical Demands:

  • Standing, walking, and coordinating across large venue spaces
  • Occasional lifting of booth components and handling of rental materials (up to X kg/lbs)
  • Use of digital tools and devices for layout management and real-time updates
  • Clear verbal communication in-person and via phone/email with staff and clients
