2. Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our sales team in driving revenue growth across our diverse product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience selling both high-value technical products and consumer goods, with a strong understanding of the Ethiopian market.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for both high-value backup systems and lower-value induction stoves.
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve revenue targets.
- Create differentiated sales approaches for technical B2B sales (backup systems) and consumer-focused products (induction stoves).
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop effective sales materials and campaigns.
- Set realistic sales targets and KPIs for the team.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
- Work with product development teams to provide market feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling both high-value technical products and consumer goods.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships at all levels.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Amharic is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the renewable energy or sustainable products sector.
- Knowledge of the Ethiopian market and business culture.
- Understanding of technical aspects of power systems and energy-efficient appliances.
- Experience with different sales channels (direct, B2B, retail, etc.).
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience with international clients or partnerships.
