Sales officer /sales representative 

A Sales Officer/ sales representative are responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling a company's products or services. This role involves identifying leads, building client relationships, understanding customer needs, and closing sales deals. They work to achieve sales targets, analyze market trends, and contribute to overall sales strategy. 

  • Sales Generation: Identifying new business opportunities, prospecting, and closing sales deals. 
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences. 
  • Product Knowledge: Presenting and demonstrating products or services to prospective clients. 
  • Sales Strategy: Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve sales targets. 
  • Market Analysis: Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities. 
  • Reporting: Tracking sales activity and maintaining accurate records. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Customer Service: Addressing customer queries and resolving issues. 
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Participating on bids announced on national wise that concerns our companies products.
  • Performing other related tasks assigned by the immediet supervisor.

Salary: Negotiable

Work place: Addis Ababa with frequent visits to Factories

Education

  • BA Degree & above in Marketing Management, Business Management and Other Related areas

Experience: 

  • 3 years relevant work experience. In related businesses of foam, home furniture and home appliance is preferred. Also, Experience in diverse product marketing is a plus.
