We are urgently hiring qualified and motivated Qualitative Data Collectors to join our research team for an upcoming project. The role will involve conducting in-depth fieldwork, engaging with communities, and ensuring accurate and reliable data collection. This is a time-sensitive opportunity as the project officially begins on Monday, August 25, 2025, and selected candidates will be expected to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs)
- Accurately document and transcribe qualitative data
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and confidentiality
- Collaborate with field supervisors and project teams to meet data collection targets
- Provide daily progress updates and report any field challenges promptly
- Adhere to ethical standards and project guidelines during data collection
- Educational background in Sociology, Social Work, or Anthropology
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in qualitative data collection
- Experience working in at least one of the following regions:
- Oromia
- Somali
- Amhara
- Afar
- Tigray
- South Ethiopia
- Sidama
- South West & Central Ethiopia
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
