LonAdd HR Consultancy Plc (www.lonadd.com) is a Recruitment & Outsourcing Company based in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, with branch offices in Dukem, Hawassa and Bahir Dar. We are looking to recruit Operations Supervisor to join On Behalf of Our Client.

Job Purpose:

The Operations Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager. The Operations Supervisors’ main function is to ensure efficient and timely production to ensure a good service rate, inventory management and logistics while staying within budget. The successful candidate will be able to plan, organize and control the branch needs while overseeing staffing requirements, and will streamline processes for operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will work closely with the local business team as well as the North and Sub Saharan African, META teams and Central teams.

Responsibility/ Tasks

• Ensure the realization of the shift production schedule and day to day management of the workshop.

• Control the KPIs for his/her respective shifts: quality, manpower and machine, productivity, Yield, EHS, materials consumption and general expenses.

• Communicate and collaborate with main shareholders, business partners, authorities and all internal and external Essilor Luxottica departments.

• Schedule staff and monitor daily operations and department plans.

• Respect the production schedule to ensure a good service level.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Analyze workflow, yields, manpower requirements, machine availability and maintenance, and production and quality issues.

• Enhance safety consciousness and awareness in the workplace.

• Coordinate with Human Resources to promote a positive work environment.

• Prepare and update all operations reports.

• Provide direct support to the business team.

• Promote Essilor’s corporate culture and values.

• Participate in related audits and ensure compliance to government institutions.

• Responsible for SF/FSV/Consumables and Stock Value.

• Responsible for Stock discrepancy, product availability by following inventory standards and KPI targets.

• Responsible for all direct and indirect items in close collaboration with Finance.

Personal & Professional Profile 

• Strong understanding of technical processes, ideally in the field of the optical industry, as well as good knowledge of common quality management systems and ISO standards.

• Analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Customer satisfaction oriented.

• Skills with Lean Manufacturing.

• Supply Chain experience.

• Proficient with MS Office systems.

• University Degree.

• At least 2 years of people management.

• Interpersonal skills

• Diplomacy and a keen sense of listening

• Ability to speak to a large audience

• English is required and any other languages are a plus.
