Job Summary
To support and coordinate the sales operations by managing sales data, monitoring performance metrics, and optimizing sales processes. The role ensures the smooth execution of sales strategies through data analysis, reporting, inventory coordination, and interdepartmental collaboration.This role involves extracting, transforming, and presenting sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, ultimately contributing to increased revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, compile, and validate sales data from various sources including internal sales reports, CRM systems, ERP systems, distributor data, market research firms, and external market intelligence.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all sales-related data.
Maintain and update sales databases and reporting tools.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of sales performance across different dimensions: by product category, SKU, region, channel, customer, and sales representative.
Track and report on key sales performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, value, market share, distribution breadth and depth, average selling price, and gross margins.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in sales data, providing explanations for variances from targets or forecasts.
Develop and generate regular (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) sales performance reports and dashboards for sales management and other stakeholders.
Create compelling data visualizations to present complex information clearly and concisely (e.g., charts, graphs, pivot tables).
Provide insights on market opportunities, threats, and competitor strategies to inform sales and marketing initiatives.
Assist in the development of sales forecasts and budgets by analyzing historical sales data and market factors.
Support the sales planning process by providing data-driven recommendations on target setting and resource allocation.
Analyze the effectiveness and ROI of pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and trade marketing activities.
Provide insights on the impact of promotions on sales volume, revenue, and profitability.
Collaborate with the Sales Operations Officer, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain departments to ensure alignment of data, reporting, and insights.
Provide data support for strategic business reviews and planning sessions
