Summary
The Senior Market Intelligence Specialist is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating market intelligence to support the tender management team in developing winning bid strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry and competitive landscape. The Senior Specialist will play a crucial role in identifying tender opportunities, influencing client specifications, and positioning the company for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential tender opportunities, analyze market trends, and assess customer needs.
Competitive Intelligence: Gather and analyze information on competitors' strengths, weaknesses, pricing strategies, and product offerings. Maintain a database of competitor intelligence.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential organizations. Understand their needs, influence bid specifications to favor our products/solutions, and position our company as the preferred supplier.
Tender Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and evaluate potential tender opportunities through market research, industry publications, networking, and other sources.
Client Influence & Negotiation: Engage with clients and potential customers to understand their requirements and influence the development of tender specifications. Promote our product portfolio and highlight our competitive advantages.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Automotive Tender Management team, Marketing Department, and Sales Department to develop winning tender strategies. Communicate market intelligence and competitive insights effectively.
Bidder Identification & Analysis: Identify potential bidders for upcoming tenders and analyze their capabilities and track record.
Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of tender strategies based on market intelligence and competitive analysis.
Market Surveillance: Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on market intelligence, competitive landscape, and tender opportunities. Analyze data to identify trends and insights.
Skills & Competencies:
Market Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough market research and analyze data effectively.
Competitive Intelligence Skills: Ability to gather and analyze information on competitors and identify their strengths and weaknesses.

Education:
Masters/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical, or related field), or a related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 and above years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, sales, or business development within the automotive industry.
Experience in tender management or a related field is a plus.
