• Fish production
• monitor the health of the fish and treat them when appropriate
• plan breeding programmes and grow schedules to obtain maximum efficiency
• adhere to environmental standards
• calculate the feeding regime
• understand legislation and how to implement this into practical application
• ensure the water supply is of a sufficient quality for the stock
• be aware of different water management techniques
• adapt to new technologies as they develop and learn practical skills
• pay close attention to detail, in order to avoid expensive fish losses in what can be a high-risk industry
• possess stock skills such as fish handling, spawning, grading and harvesting
• update knowledge of fish health and nutrition
• maintain records of stocks
• poultry production
• Evaluating the condition of chickens to ensure that they are healthy and comfortable
• Feeding chickens with specialized diets designed to promote growth or prevent disease
• Culling chickens from the flock if they are injured or become ill
• Maintaining chicken coops, pens, and other housing facilities in good repair
• Observing the behaviour of chickens to detect changes in activity level or feather condition
• Cleaning and maintaining poultry farm equipment and facilities
• Raising chickens for meat and eggs through breeding and hatching chicks
• Keeping records of feed consumption, egg production, and health conditions of poultry
• Inspecting chickens for signs of disease or infestation by parasites
• To carry out any other duties as instructed by the farm manager

Work Location

• Mirab Abaya (korga)
• Work place provides room, food and related shelters. 

Skills and Qualifications

• BA/MBA degree in Fish and Poultry sector 
• More than two years of experience in related position. 
• numerical ability, for calculating feeding regimes and for invoicing purposes
• understanding of data privacy standards; solid communication skills, both written and verbal; organizational skills; planning skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills; computer skills; multi-tasking abilities; integrity, honesty.
