Position Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the resort, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, and international hospitality standards. This role manages budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and supports strategic decision-making to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop, monitor, and update budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide variance analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, accounting standards, and labor regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Implement company financial policies and SOPs.
  • Monitor daily cash flow and manage working capital.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and optimize fund utilization.
  • Oversee banking relationships.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor finance and accounting staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with other departments (F&B, Rooms, Engineering, etc.) to control costs.
  • Provide financial insights to improve profitability.
  • Participate in strategic planning and resort performance reviews.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience in IDS,cnet is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax and labor laws.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
