ChipChip is expanding its operations and seeking a motivated Grant Writing & Business Development Specialist to help secure funding from public and private institutions. This role is key to our continued growth and requires someone with a track record of success in grant writing and business development.
The Grant Writing & Business Development Specialist will be responsible for:
- Researching, drafting, and submitting grant proposals on behalf of the company.
- Identifying new funding opportunities and strategic partnerships to support company growth.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment between funding applications, business development initiatives, and company goals.
- Building relationships with funding agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
- Monitoring progress and managing deadlines for multiple grants and business development projects.
- Contributing creative ideas and new approaches to strengthen proposals, pitches, and partnership strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential funding sources (public, private, institutional) and new business opportunities.
- Develop, write, and submit grant proposals and reports.
- Support business development initiatives by identifying strategic partnerships and funding opportunities.
- Liaise with internal teams to gather necessary information for grant applications and business development plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
- Monitor progress and manage deadlines for multiple grants and business development projects.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulations.
- Keep records of past applications, awarded grants, business development leads, and future opportunities.
- Track donor trends and proactively suggest innovative approaches to diversify funding sources.
- Proven track record in grant writing and securing funding.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams.
- Understanding of grant regulations and requirements.
- Ability to creatively translate technical and financial details into compelling, human-centered stories.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in funding, grant writing, and business development.
- Proven track record in grant writing and securing funding.
- Background in business, economics, or any related field relevant to grant writing.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and implement improvements in previous roles.
