Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to align with organizational goals and forecast resource needs. 
• Oversee vehicle assignment, maintenance schedules, fuel usage, and driver performance to ensure efficient transportation. 
• Manage the timely and accurate delivery of goods, including coordination of last-mile logistics. 
• Process and manage procurement for locally and internationally sourced items, and manage relationships with vendors. 
• Ensure adherence to local transport laws, safety standards, and organizational policies, and produce accurate logistics reports for stakeholders. 
• Lead and supervise logistics staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training on logistics processes and procedures. 
• Utilize and stay updated on logistics management tools and innovations to enhance efficiency and operations. 
• Handle incident reporting, monitor shipments, and identify and address bottlenecks or issues in the supply chain. 
• Ability to analyze complex situations, identify key issues, and make sound decisions with positive impacts. 
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop logistics teams. 
• Effective coordination with clients, drivers, warehouse teams, and other stakeholders. 
• Proficiency with logistics management tools and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies. 
• Capacity to proactively identify and resolve challenges within the logistics and supply chain operations. 

Qualification

• An advanced university degree in fields like business administration, or public administration 

Experience

• 5 more years of experience on the field.
• Road construction experience is mandatory
