Position Summary
The Head of Business Development & Finance will drive Opian’s sustainability by designing revenue models, managing financial health, and building strategic partnerships. This role ensures Opian’s products (Forecasting, Gorebet, Link HC) move beyond pilots into scalable, financially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies for revenue generation (SaaS, consulting, partnerships).
• Lead market research and pricing strategies for Opian’s platforms.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and compliance across all projects.
• Oversee financial reporting to donors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with the CEO on fundraising, grant applications, and investment strategies.
• Build relationships with private sector partners for co-development and co-financing.
• Support scaling strategies for Opian products in Ethiopia and beyond.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in business development, finance, or strategy roles.
• Proven track record in fundraising, business model design, or consulting.
• Strong understanding of SaaS, digital health, or tech-for-development models. 
• Ability to bridge financial planning with social impact objectives. 
• Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills
