Full timeKey Responsibilities:
Operational Supervision
• Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Assign, supervise, and inspect the work of housekeeping attendants and support staff.
• Ensure housekeeping tasks are completed in line with hotel standards and brand requirements.
Guest Satisfaction & Service Quality
• Respond promptly to guest requests, complaints, and special requirements related to housekeeping.
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Coordinate with the Front Office team regarding room availability and readiness.
Staff Training & Development
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, service standards, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Motivate the team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high morale.
• Conduct regular briefings to communicate daily tasks, priorities, and hotel policies.
Inventory & Supplies Management
• Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies, linen, guest amenities, and cleaning materials.
• Ensure proper stock levels are maintained while minimizing wastage and controlling costs.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department for requisitions and deliveries.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
• Enforce hotel policies on hygiene, sanitation, and occupational safety in compliance with local regulations.
• Inspect cleaning equipment and ensure preventive maintenance is carried out.
• Implement environmentally friendly cleaning practices where possible.
Reporting & Administration
• Prepare daily reports on room status, maintenance issues, and staff performance.
• Report lost & found items and ensure they are properly logged and stored.
• Support the Executive Housekeeper in scheduling, payroll inputs, and performance appraisals.
Education and Experience
• Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Housekeeping Operations, or related field (bachelor’s degree an advantage).
• Minimum 7 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory role in 5 stars hotel.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and safety standards.
• Basic financial and inventory management knowledge.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with housekeeping/PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).
Skills and Attributes
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and preferably one or more additional languages.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to train, supervise, and motivate a multicultural team.
• Attention to detail with high standards of cleanliness and service.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations.
