Key Responsibilities:


Hotel IT Systems Management


• Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and security of all hotel IT systems including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), accounting software, telephony, Wi-Fi, and CCTV.
• Ensure seamless integration between hotel systems (Front Office, Finance, F&B, Reservations, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.Technology Infrastructure & Support
• Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of IT hardware, software, and network equipment.
• Provide technical support and training to hotel staff to ensure effective system use.
• Maintain reliable and high-speed internet connectivity for both guests and staff.


Cybersecurity & Data Protection


• Implement and monitor data protection measures in compliance with GDPR and hotel policies.
• Ensure firewalls, antivirus, and security patches are up to date.
• Regularly back up hotel data and establish disaster recovery protocols. Vendor & System Management
• Liaise with external IT vendors, service providers, and system suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Monitor system licenses, warranties, and renewals.


Support for Guest Services


• Ensure technology-driven guest amenities (Wi-Fi, in-room entertainment systems, mobile check-in/out, keyless entry, etc.) function efficiently.
• Provide technical support for events, conferences, and banquets requiring IT or AV support. Planning & Budgeting
• Develop and manage the IT budget in coordination with the Finance department.
• Plan for system upgrades, replacements, and new technology investments aligned with hotel growth.
• Ensure cost-effective IT operations while meeting service and security standards.


Reporting & Compliance


• Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure, systems, and user guides.
• Generate reports on system performance, downtime, and IT-related expenses.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and industry best practices.

Education and Experience


• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree an advantage).
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or CompTIA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in an IT managerial role (hospitality sector experience highly desirable).
• Strong knowledge of network management, cybersecurity, server administration, and database systems.
• Experience with hotel IT systems including Opera PMS, Fidelio, Micros POS, and cloud-based hospitality solutions.


Skills and Attributes


• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and preferably one or more additional languages.
• Proven ability to manage IT projects, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in training and supporting non-technical staff.
• Ability to work under pressure and provide 24/7 support in case of emergencies.
