Job Summary:
Bisrate Gebriel International School is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and professional Cashier to manage the school’s daily financial transactions and provide accurate record-keeping services. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cash collections, issuing receipts, maintaining financial records, and supporting the finance department in related administrative tasks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect, record, and reconcile all payments including tuition fees and other school-related charges.
- Issue official receipts for all payments received.
- Maintain accurate cashbooks, ledgers, and daily financial records.
- Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with the school’s financial policies and procedures.
- Safeguard and maintain petty cash for school-related expenditures.
- Provide excellent customer service to parents, students, and staff in relation to payment queries.
- Support the Finance Officer and Administration with other duties as assigned.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience for Diploma holders.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience for Degree holders.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in basic accounting software and MS Excel.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and multitask.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic.
