Position description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for all aspects of procurement, ensuring that resources are efficiently and effectively deployed with a diversified base of cost competitive, high quality, and reliable suppliers. Ensure compliance with the procurement policy, as well as the consistent adaptation of good commercial and professional practices.

1. Plans, organizes, coordinates, leads and controls the procurement and supply of all the required supplies and materials by the user departments and the Brewery.

2. Ensures the proper procurement of r/materials, chemicals, spare parts for product and non product category requirements of the company.

3. Develops policies, procedures and strategies for procurement and supply activities & presents to the management for approval; implements them when approved.

4. Designs models for use in evaluating & analyzing bids.

5. Designs and develops procurement policies and procedures in line with the company’s strategy.

6. Ensures that full compliance of procurement activities with organizational rules, regulations, policies and strategies of the company.

7. Responsible for existence and implementation of cost savings and reduction strategies concerning procurement functions of the company.

8. Establishes and implements proper monitoring systems and control of procurement processes including organization of RFQ, receipt and evaluation of quotations, bids or

proposals, negotiation of certain conditions of contracts in full compliance with the country’s and the company’s regulation.

9. Follows up the implementation of the procurement processes, monitoring systems and mechanisms to eliminate deficiencies in procurement.

10. Responsible for the development and management of the rosters of suppliers, supplier selection and evaluation, quality and performance measurement mechanisms.

11. Acquires equipments, machines, materials, spare parts and all other required items from foreign as well as local sources at the right time, quality, quantity and type.

12. Produce periodic reports on the performance of the department and submit it the immediate supervisor.

13. Performs other similar tasks as assigned by the Supply Chain Director.

Position Requirement

2.1 Academic requirement: MA/MSC/BA/BSC in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics/ Procurement / Management or related fields of study

2.2 Work experience: 6/8yrs of relevant experience in beverage industries

2.3 Additional Competencies:
