2. Position Summary
We are seeking a goal-oriented Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, generate quality leads, and drive customer acquisition. This position requires creativity, analytical thinking, and a results-driven mindset. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our digital presence and supporting our mission of promoting renewable energy solutions across Ethiopia.
3. Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Develop and manage content calendars for all social media platforms
- Create engaging, high-quality content tailored to each platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Telegram)
- Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies accordingly
- Respond to inquiries and engage with followers to build community
- Track and analyze social media metrics to optimize performance
- Implement paid social media campaigns to increase reach and engagement
Digital Marketing Strategy
- Develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with company goals
- Create and manage digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, social media ads)
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and traffic
- Design and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads
- Analyze campaign performance and optimize for improved results
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends and technologies
Lead Generation & Conversion
- Implement strategies to capture and qualify leads through digital channels
- Create landing pages and lead magnets to increase conversion rates
- Develop and optimize sales funnels for different customer segments
- Collaborate with sales team to ensure smooth lead handoff process
- Track and report on lead generation metrics and conversion rates
- Identify opportunities to improve lead quality and conversion rates
Content Creation & Management
- Develop a content strategy aligned with marketing objectives
- Create compelling content for various digital platforms (blog posts, videos, infographics)
- Ensure all content reflects brand voice and messaging
- Manage content calendar and publication schedule
- Analyze content performance and optimize based on data
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate representation of products and services
Website Management
- Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Monitor website analytics and user behavior
- Implement conversion rate optimization strategies
- Ensure website is mobile-friendly and optimized for user experience
- Collaborate with IT on website improvements and new features
AI Tools Utilization
- Leverage AI tools appropriately for content creation and optimization
- Use AI for data analysis and customer insights
- Implement AI-powered chatbots and automation where beneficial
- Stay updated on AI developments in digital marketing
- Maintain ethical standards when utilizing AI in marketing practices
Reporting & Analytics
- Set up and monitor KPIs for all digital marketing initiatives
- Create comprehensive reports on marketing performance and ROI
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities
- Present findings and recommendations to management
- Use analytics to continuously improve marketing strategies

- Renewable Energy: Solar power systems, mini-grids, hybrid energy solutions
- Solar Energy: PV installations, solar home systems, solar-powered appliances

4. Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Diploma , Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing and social media management
- Demonstrated experience in lead generation and conversion optimization
- Background in renewable energy, sustainability, or related fields preferred
Required Skills
- Exceptional content creation skills across various digital platforms
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices (including TikTok and Telegram)
- Experience with digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
- Knowledge of SEO principles and implementation
- Proficiency in digital marketing analytics and reporting tools
- Experience with AI tools and appropriate implementation in marketing strategies
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of Amharic highly desirable
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the renewable energy or climate sector
- Knowledge of Ethiopian market and cultural context
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and automation tools
- Experience with CRM systems and lead management
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills
Compensation Structure
- Base Salary: 15,000 ETB gross monthly
- Performance Commission: Up to 20,000 ETB additional monthly based on achievement of targets outlined above
- Sales Conversion Bonuses: Additional performance-based bonuses for leads that convert to sales
