Position Overview

JaRco Consulting is seeking a full-time Logistics Officer to support the efficient planning, coordination, and implementation of logistics and operational activities. The Logistics Officer will play a key role in supporting fieldwork logistics, vehicle and staff movement coordination, procurement assistance, and travel arrangements.

The Logistics Officer reports to the Chief HR and Compliance Officer and works closely with the Operations, Program, and Finance teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant logistics support across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and implementation of logistics plans for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Assist in the coordination of vehicle scheduling, staff movements, and field logistics.
  • Monitor vehicle usage and fuel consumption through regular checks of logbooks and reports.
  • Coordinate staff travel and accommodation arrangements for both domestic and international trips.
  • Maintain updated records of rental properties and assist in renewing lease agreements.
  • Provide administrative support related to logistics and operations, including proper documentation and filing.
  • Liaise with program staff to ensure timely delivery of logistical support for field activities.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials or services as needed.
  • Assist in communication with local authorities for necessary permissions or support letters.
  • Ensure all logistics files and documentation are well-organized and up to date.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Good recordkeeping and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–6 years of relevant professional experience in logistics or operations, preferably in a consulting firm, NGO, or similar setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with fleet and travel coordination is an asset.
