Job summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for coordinating, leading, and organizing of the warehouse, logistics and transport functions for the maximum effectiveness and optimal cost at all levels of the supply chain process.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, coordinates, leads and controls the warehouse and transport functions of the company.

• Develops policies, procedures and strategies for efficient warehouse and transport functions.

• Ensure the existence of efficient warehouse and transport functions to meet the internal and external customer service requirements.

• Ensures the existence of proper staffing & resources for the efficient and effective warehouse and transport functions to meet customer service requirements at lowest cost.

• Designs strategies for economic usage of warehouses & implements after approval.

• Ensures incoming raw materials, spare parts & products are received and managed appropriately according to company procedure.

• Ensures company transportation standards (SHE, quality etc.) and applicable regulations on outsourced and/or owned transportation are fully complied.

• Monitors truck maintenance schedule and check truck condition according to the company’s transportation standards and applicable regulation.

• Select the appropriate assets and equipment (warehouse space, forklift, racks, loading docks, etc) to run the warehousing operation efficiently.

• Ensure maintenance of the assets and equipment in good conditions in accordance with the regulations applicable (safety, maintenance, etc)

• Ensure selection and maintenance of transportation assets to meet mid and long-term capacity requirements at optimal cost.

•  Identify the appropriate and cost efficient handling and storage equipment to meet long- term requirements based on available information (sales forecast, inventory and production plans, site layout development, etc.)

• Produces reports and statistics using computer software for use in determining inventory movements & consumption patterns.

• Manages control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved

• Performs other similar tasks as assigned by the Supply Chain Director.

Qualification

Academic    requirement:     

• MA/MSC/BA/BSC in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics/Transportation/ Management/ or related fields of study

Work experience: 6/8yrs of relevant experience in beverage industries
