Purpose of the Job:
Under the direct supervision of the Technical Supervisor, contribute to the maintenance of the existing facilities of Awash Wine S.C property and current construction projects on masonry, carpentry, plumbing, welding & electrical. Still under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor, participate in the construction of new construction site in collaboration of the concerned Civil Project Coordinator when it is requested.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical activities
- Know all the laws of electricity, the standards in force,
- Provide the power supply of electrical appliances, or the repair of thereof,
- Install, optimize or intervene on electrical networks,
- From the diagrams provided, choose the best solutions,
- Restore the electrical connection of machines or components,
- Analyze the architectural plans to define the path of the cables, the positioning of the accessories (sockets, switches, ...), and the installation location of the electric meters,
- Draw the sketch in full size before starting the necessary adjustments,
- Coordinate the timing of intervention with the other trades of the building,
- Constantly improvise security solutions that can match the requirements of the building,
Welding Activities
- Anticipate possible metal deformations in order to mitigate them,
- Assess the risks regarding the operations to be carried out and the equipment to be used,
- Prepare the workstation before starting the welding and adjust the welding machines,
- Perform the welds,
- Check the quality and conformity of the welds,
- Preparation, degreasing and stripping of the parts to be welded,
- Choice of the welding technique appropriate according to the material specificities,
- Cleaning, controlling and polishing the weld,
- Recovery or finishing operations
Plumbing Activities
- Identify and indicate the location of pipe connections and openings where pipe and other components are or will be inserted
- Identify problems occurring at the project site, propose solutions and estimate the associated costs
- Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems, their components and any related accessories for the purpose of distributing, storing, or disposing of water, air or gas.
- Cut, drill, well and join pipes of the required length and diameter using appropriate equipment.
- Electrical connections, adjustments and commissioning linked to plumbing system
- Others: paving (tiling, earthenware, carpet, linoleum, etc.), installation of furniture (bathroom, toilet, kitchen, etc.)
Running business
- Report daily to the Technical Supervisor
- With the agreement of the technical supervisor, define a weekly schedule and the activities to perform on the different farm projects
- Read, interpret and design plans, diagrams and other technical drawings in order to establish an action plan that meets the expectations
- In teamwork, perform in the operation of maintenance and in the new construction site the different task related to:
Masonry Activities
- Implement horizontal structures (foundations, screeds, slabs, floors, etc.),
- Assemble and position reinforcing elements of a concrete
- Manufacturing and installing formwork; pour concrete and other mortars
- Mason the walls by assembling materials (bricks, blocks, plaster tiles, etc.) using binders (cement, plaster, etc.)
Carpentry Activities
- Manufactures and installs wood framing and wood frame construction on any type of building
- In the workshop, from the instructions and plans provided:
- makes a sketch and a life-size plan of the parts to be made,
Education:
Experience:
- 2 Years of Work Experience in Electromechanical related activities.
