The job and career expo event organizer is expected to manage the following:

• Venue Arrangement: Secure a suitable and accessible venue.

• Event Promotion: Execute a marketing campaign to attract employers, job seekers, and media partners.

• Employer and Job Seeker Mobilisation: Register companies, service providers, and diverse job seekers ahead of the event.

• Facilitate on the spot interview for job seekers: work with potential employers to facilitate on the spot interviews for candidates.

• Logistical Coordination: Ensure smooth registration, booth setup, equipment provision, and catering.

• Quality Assurance: Guarantee professional delivery of all aspects of the event (sound, lighting, comfort).

• Panel discussion : Organize a panel with employer presentations 

• Facilitation workshops: organize of skill-building workshops for job seekers. 

• On-Site Support: Deploy trained staff to manage registration, information desks, and crowd control.

• Feedback Collection: Collect data and feedback from participants to evaluate outcomes.

Interested event organizer (individuals or firms) are expected to meet the following requirements:

Educational Background: A Master's in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Master of Marketing or communication and other related social sciences.

Demonstrated Experience: Previous experience organising development sector events, particularly those focusing on Job and career expos , or related areas

Experience working with international or government development projects is highly desirable

Familiarity with project reporting related to development projects.

Team Capacity: The team is expected to have demonstrated experience in organizing similar events presenting concrete examples of completed assignments. Knowledge of development sector and digital interventions, event planning and management skills, stakeholder engagement and liaison, communication and facilitation skill.

Ability to mobilize and lead a larger number of audiences. 

Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken proficiency in both English and Amharic.

Ethical Standards: Must adhere to SNV policies, principles, and core values, including a commitment to ethical standards and a code of conduct.

Title of the specific assignment, “Enhanced Job Matching through Job and career expos for Low, Medium and skilled job seekers,” should be mentioned in the email subject. 

Both the Technical and Financial proposals should be submitted in a separate email to ettenders@snv.org. or a separate envelope for those who are submitting in person.  Failure to comply with this requirement will result in automatic rejection of the bid.
