Overview of the job 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer to manage and support human resource functions within our chemical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, support staff development, and maintain efficient HR systems aligned with industry standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • ✓ Oversee recruitment, on boarding, and staff placement processes 
  • ✓ Develop and enforce HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks 
  • ✓ Manage payroll, benefits, and tax-related documentation in coordination with finance 
  • ✓ Lead performance management, disciplinary procedures, and employee relations 
  • ✓ Design and implement training programs and staff development initiatives 
  • ✓ Maintain accurate HR records and reporting systems 
  • ✓ Support cross-departmental coordination and culture-building efforts 

Qualifications: 

  • ✓ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field 
  • ✓ Minimum 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial settings, or Chemical Factory 
  • ✓ Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and HR compliance standards 
  • ✓ Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills 
  • ✓ Proficiency in HR documentation, payroll systems, and digital tools 
  • ✓ Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
