- Analyze regional, national, and international laws, draft legislations, and cassation decisions to identify their relevance and potential impact on Ethiopost’s operations.
- Monitor and investigate draft laws and policy initiatives to provide the company with early awareness of emerging legal developments and enable proactive participation in the lawmaking process through well-prepared inputs.
- Recommend appropriate legal actions, measures, and compliance steps to ensure alignment with applicable laws and safeguard Ethiopost’s interests.
- Review, draft, and redraft internal directives, circulars, contracts, and policy documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and legal soundness.
- Support litigation lawyers by identifying, interpreting, and providing authoritative legal provisions, precedents, and arguments relevant to ongoing cases.
- Conduct legal research on diverse matters affecting Ethiopost’s operations and prepare analytical briefs, summaries, and position papers for management and other stakeholders.
- Prepare legal opinions on issues arising from operational, contractual, or regulatory activities.
- Assist in compliance monitoring by ensuring that the company’s activities and decisions adhere to prevailing laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Maintain and update a database of relevant laws, cassation decisions, and regulatory changes applicable to the postal, e-commerce, and logistics sectors.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure organizational policies and practices align with legal requirements and best practices.
- Provide legal awareness sessions or briefings to staff on new laws, directives, or regulatory changes that may affect their functions.
LL.B Degree with 2 years of experience or College Diploma + TVET level IV with 4 years of experience
