HAB Business PLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Elevator Repairer (Technician) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of various types of elevators through expert maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative checks on elevators, escalators, and moving walkways to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions in elevator systems, including motors, control systems, wiring, and interlocks.
• Conduct emergency repairs and respond promptly to service calls, accurately identifying the cause of the problem and implementing effective solutions.
• Test and adjust all elevator components and systems for proper functioning, ride quality, and safety features.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of all inspections, maintenance, and repair work performed.
• Communicate effectively with clients and management regarding the status of repairs, potential issues, and preventative maintenance recommendations.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, industry regulations, and local codes.

Required Qualifications

• Education: College diploma or equivalent is required. Vocational/technical training or certification in Elevator Technology, Electrical, or Mechanical systems is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience as an Elevator Technician or Repairer.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of elevator electrical schematics, control systems (AC/DC), hydraulics, and mechanical components.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with various elevator brands and models is a plus.
• Other Requirements:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
