Senior Accountant

LOCATION: Addis Ababa

CAREER LEVEL: Senior(5-8) EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full time

SALARY (negotiable*)

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Finance Director in managing daily financial operation
• Prepare and review budgets, reports, and financial statements.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with policies.
• Supervise accounting and finance staff.
• Assist in audits and implementation of internal controls.
• Act as Finance Director in their absence.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience in budgeting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Prior experience supervising finance staff is an asset
• Experience in a logistics and freight forwarding company is mandatory.

Skills

Good understanding of financial procedures and accounting systems.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
