Job Summary
As the Product Owner, you maximize product value by owning the backlog and guiding day-to day delivery decisions. You partner with Product Manager to steward the vision and translate strategy into a clear outcome roadmap and prioritized work. You are the primary bridge between stakeholders and the delivery team, ensuring each increment delivers measurable customer and business outcomes.
Duties Responsibilities
Backlog Ownership
- Maintain a single, ordered backlog (features, user stories, enhancements), balancing value, risk, and dependencies.
- Define/evolve acceptance criteria and collaborate on Definition of Ready / Definition of Done / Definition of Delivery.
Requirements & User Stories
- Elicit, refine, and validate requirements with stakeholders and users.
- Write clear, testable user stories with example-based acceptance criteria; slice work into thin, valuable increments.
Planning & Delivery Support
- Collaborate with the team on release and iteration planning (scope, milestones, acceptance criteria).
- Respect iteration commitments; when priorities shift, negotiate changes for the next sprint.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders: communicate progress, gather feedback, and manage expectations.
- Use fit-for-purpose artifacts (story maps, impact maps, value proposition canvas) to align decisions.
Acceptance & Validation
- Review and accept completed PBIs against acceptance criteria; verify customer value and launch readiness.
- Continuous Discovery & Learning
- Champion the voice of the customer via interviews, observation, journey mapping, and feedback loops.
- Convert insights into backlog changes, experiments/spikes, or de-prioritization when warranted.
Metrics & Risk
- Track outcome and flow metrics (HEART, funnels/retention, cycle time), and use data to prioritize and make trade-offs.
- Surface risks, constraints, assumptions early, and drive mitigation or experiments. 8. Scrum Events & Collaboration
- Sprint Planning: Co-create the Sprint Goal, present and order PBIs with clarify scope and acceptance criteria.
- Daily Scrum: Be available for clarification
- Sprint Review: Present outcomes of the increment and collect stakeholder feedback, and align next steps and backlog changes.
- Sprint Retrospective: Participate candidly, and propose experiments to improve flow and value.
- Backlog Refinement (ongoing): Lead the content slicing, acceptance criteria and priority.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in Agile software environments.
- Strong command of Agile/Scrum or Kanban, backlog management, and acceptance-criteria writing.
- Proven record delivering increments from concept to launch with measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and able to align cross functional teams.
- Comfortable with data and experimentation (hypotheses, A/B tests, cohorts/funnels).
- Tools: Jira, Confluence/Notion, Figma, discord
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- MBA, Agile or product certifications (e.g., IIBA® CPOA, CSPO/PSPO) are a plus.
