  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on ODA target audience.

  • Consult the organization management on the efficiency of public relation and communication issues,

  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.

  • Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization (ODA).

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database.

  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate organization events as required.

  • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.

  • Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management

  • Commits to support all the efforts of the ODA to prevent and respond to SEA allegations: adhere to the ODAs code of conduct,

  • Responsible to perform other duties assigned by his/her immediate supervisors

  • MA/BA in  Language & Literature, Journalism, Social science & other  related fields of study  from a recognized university with respective 4/6 years  of experiences required for this position;

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.

  • Writing/speaking in Afaan  Oromo, English  and Amharic;

  • Experience in media relations and Knowledge of social media platforms

  • Writing and editing various social media posts, communication materials and content creation. 

NOTE: Proficiency in design, publishing software, Photoshop, Adobe premiere, taking pictures, videos and editing skill is a must.

Basic salary : as per  the scale of the association

Mode of Employment : Permanent
