Job Title:Clinical Nurse - Mobile Health & Nutrition Team

Job Summary:
Mobile Clinical Nurse based at the intervention sites of Debrebirhan Town will be responsible for implementing the life-saving interventions component of the humanitarian health assistance project for communities affected by drought and conflict, for people who have poor access to primary health care in Debrebirhan IDP camps.
S/he will provide technical support to health facilities, including health posts, as well as participate in carrying out essential lifesaving primary health care services, including medical consultations. The incumbent is expected to work in collaboration with the district health offices, local stakeholders, staff of NCA, and partners for effective implementation and monitoring of the project activities.
Major Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with the district health facilities, including Hospitals, health centres, health posts, and provide technical support to health workers for the delivery of emergency and primary health care services such as IMNCI, and ICCM activities to communities affected by the impact of drought, conflict, and other natural disasters, and people who have no access to the services.
Participate in static clinic and/or outreach service to provide essential lifesaving primary health care services to displaced people and people who have no access to health services.
Provide technical support and participate in essential lifesaving primary health care services to people who have no access to primary health care services.
Make sure that the health staff have adequate training on key maternal and child health activities per the national manual/protocol.
Ensures the availability of job aids, reporting formats, therapeutic products, and drugs for program implementation at the health facility level.
Follow and ensure, action is taken by all responsible parties on gaps identified during supervision.
Supports and liaises with local health staff and provides on-the-job training/coaching and capacity building where required.
Undertake individual evaluations with the team and improve gaps. Make sure that health professionals from the health facilities participate in the daily routine work for sustainability and a smooth phase-out strategy.
Organizes Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and reports on time to the project coordinator and provides updates when needed.
Reports any problems on time to the project coordinator,
Upholds the image and values of NCA at all times,
Performs other related tasks as required,
Minimum Qualification Required:
Degree or Diploma in Clinical Nursing
A minimum of 3 years for BSc and 5 years for Diploma working experience. Two years of experience in NGOs, out of which one year in the MHNT/Static clinic program, is preferable.
Experience in team management, nutrition program, and community work.
Experience and training on IMNCI and or ICCM.
Experience and training on HMIS in the primary health care setting.
