About the Company

Our organization Digicom is expanding its portfolio into real estate development. We are embarking on our first large-scale construction project and are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead, plan, and execute the development from design through to completion.

Position Summary

The Senior Construction Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s real estate and construction projects. This includes project planning, design coordination, budgeting, procurement, supervision of contractors and consultants, and ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery.
The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to guide a non-construction organization into a successful real estate development venture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, execution, and management of construction projects from concept to completion.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost control systems.
• Manage design consultants, architects, and engineering teams during the design and pre-construction phases.
• Oversee tendering, contract negotiation, and procurement processes.
• Supervise on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with design, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve project challenges.
• Report regularly to management on project progress, risks, and mitigation measures.
• Advise company leadership on construction strategies, materials, and cost-effective solutions.
• Establish project management systems, documentation, and best practices for future developments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in construction management, including at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.

• Proven experience managing end-to-end construction projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use).

• Strong understanding of Ethiopian construction regulations, permitting, and procurement practices.

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and represent the company’s interests confidently.
