This position at PSI/Ethiopia will be part of the extended leadership team of an anticipated 3-year MasterCard Foundation funded program. The Step Up to Dignified and Fulfilling Work program aims to reach 32,000 financially disadvantaged rural young women, including 5% persons with disabilities and 5% refugees, across 270 kebeles in Oromia and Somali regions. Over 3 years, the program will support 24,000 young women (75%) to transition into dignified and fulfilling work by addressing the structural barriers limiting their economic participation. Smart Steps aligns with the Mastercard Foundation’s Young Africa Works strategy, contributing to poverty alleviation through financial inclusion and by expanding access to education, skills, and employment for youth aged 15 to 35.
