KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU vehicle in Ethiopia. It is also working in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Assistant Managing Director position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible to provide assistance to the Managing Director on all strategic business matters of the company; play a role in running the business including, providing direction, and leadership with the objective to drive the company’s development and guide it towards a long-term success.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Managing Director with the overall executive leadership of the company to ensure that the company meets its business goals and objectives.

  • Assist in developing a high quality business strategies and plans.

  • Support the Managing Director in developing and monitoring implementation of operational plans.

  • Assist the Managing Director in the process of monitoring all operations and business activities to ensure achievement of desired business results.

  • Work with the Managing Director in taking a high-quality investment decisions to advance the business and increase profits.

  • Support the Managing Director in ensuring that the company management and organizational structure are fit for purpose.

  • Coordinate with all senior managers to ensure adherence to legal requirements and company policies and procedures.

  • Engage effectively across all functional operations to ensure vigorous processes are in place to meet performance targets.

  • Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements.

  • Oversee the process of effective information analysis to support strategic decision- making processes.

  • Assist the Managing Director in fostering a positive relationships business partners to enhance the likelihood of boosting business opportunities.

  • Analyze problematic situations, and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.

  • Maintain a good knowledge of the market and industry to recommend future business strategies and directions.

  • Work with the Managing Director to ensure that audit recommendations are implemented in a timely manner.

  • Review and monitor the organizational operational and strategic risk management frameworks and activities.

  • Work with the Managing Director to ensure that strategy is effectively translated into organizational and team objectives and resources are appropriately allocated accordingly.

Required Number           :  1(One) 

Qualification                    :  MBA Degree or B.A. Degree in Management or related field 

Work Experience            :  10 years for MBA Degree or 12 years for B.A. Degree graduate and in related role

Required skills 

  • Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among company managers, partners, and the workforce
  • Good Knowledge and adequate experience in Corporate Governance
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand new issues quickly, analytical skill, problem-solving ability
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
  • Adequate business knowledge, managerial ability, sound judgement, ability to interact and work effectively with others
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Computer skill, excellent written and oral communication skills, English language proficiency.
