Job Purpose

The General Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all general service operations to ensure a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and well-maintained working environment. The role oversees security, fleet, facilities, utilities, property, civil maintenance, canteen, liaison activities, and general service procurement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage security guard deployment, access control, and circulation of people and vehicles.

  • Oversee cleaning, gardening, and laundry services to maintain hygiene and environmental standards.

  • Administer fleet management, including vehicle inventory, inspections, preventive maintenance, fuel and expense control, GPS journey monitoring, insurance claims, annual inspections, and driver safety assessments.

  • Supervise canteen operations to ensure food quality, hygiene, and cost efficiency.

  • Manage liaison activities with government offices, utilities, municipalities, and external stakeholders.

  • Administer utility services (electricity, water, telecom, internet) and monitor consumption and costs.

  • Manage company properties, leases, records, and utilization.

  • Oversee civil maintenance, repairs, renovations, and contractor works.

  • Coordinate procurement and warehouse activities related to general service supplies and assets.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, safety standards, and budget controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Logistics & supply, Facilities Management, Engineering or related field.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in general services, facilities, or administration management.

  • Strong knowledge of fleet management, facility operations, and service contracts.

  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and compliance requirements.
